I used the pen tool most of all in this project to create most of the shapes. I used http://www.vectordiary.com/illustrator/snowflakes-tutorial/ to get inspiration for my snowflakes. I put a patter on the snowman's scarf using some of the patter tool and one of my snowflakes. I have a gradient in the background on the sky to sort of give a cloudy snowy look. I also used a gradient on the ice at the bottom of the picture and the snowman's nose. I kerned some of the letters in my quote to make them look a little better and also used different fonts that I thought fit the mood of the words. To form some of the shapes, I used the line segment tool. Lastly, I created my own art brush to give the North Pole sign some texture.
