Learning to Composite

The window menu has all of the panels in Premiere Pro listed for quick access. The timeline is where you build or construct your video. The tools are found on the left side of the timeline, which can be clicked on if you are not using a shortcut key. There are separate menus for each panel, which allow for more options in order to find tools easier. The main panels you use are the source monitor, program monitor, effects, timeline, and tools panels. Some shortcut keys for the main tools are V (selection tool), H (hand tool), Z (zoom tool), and C (razor tool). There are multiple ways to import media. One of the main ways is to go to the media browser bin, selecting the files you want, and dragging them onto the timeline. When dragging clips together on the timeline, they should automatically snap together. When moving a clip in front of another hold control in order to not overwrite and replace the other clip. Cutting on action is the best time to make an edit. Adobe Premiere Pro is industry standard and has valuable functions for creating videos.
